I remember people didn't start complimenting me on my join date and username until 2010, which was a good three years after I made this account. So... I'd say anything three years ago, at least.

06-08 are rightfully regarded to be roblox's "Golden Years" because they laid down the foundation of very successful and fun games such as 'SFOTH','The Underground War' and the emergence of new game types such as obbies (obstacle courses) and well random skirmishes. They were fun because each one was created differently so there was little similarity between the two and it often led to some outrageous themes like having Shoops Da Whoop or other memes as the skybox. Random skirmishes had more to do with live-action combat. There was no game elsewhere on the Internet at the time(except maybe blockland) that could give the genres as the ones listed above. The year 2009 is when roblox went into the mainstream, and I would not say downhill but there was a transition toward social hangouts most noticeably 'The Iron Cafe'. I suppose this is true for most of the internet? In any case, 06-08 internet culture was a strange time

Either way you're likely to get a biased answer.

2009-2011 were probably the golden years of roblox tbh but like alot of people have been saying, the old roblox probably is around 2010 or earlier
