House Resolution to Establish the House Review Committee BE IT ENACTED BY THE STATE OF ROCKPORT CONGRESS HERE ASSEMBLED THAT: SECTION 1. The House Review Committee, or ‘HRC’, shall be established in the Rockport House of Representatives. SECTION 2. The HRC shall have the authority to conduct hearings and collect public/private opinion on legislation brought to the House. The collection of information and hearings are not required for any Citizen or department of the State of Rockport to take part in, but should be used to enhance debate and knowledge about certain subjects pertaining to legislation. Once hearings/collection is complete for a piece/set of legislation, they shall form a report regarding their findings in an unbiased, non-partisan format for the full House to view and analyze. Hearings and the collection of information should be unbiased and non-partisan. SECTION 3. The HRC shall be composed of Three(3) members of the Rockport House of Representative. The Speaker of the House shall serve as chairman of the committee and will assist in the proceedings/operations of the HRC. SECTION 4. This legislation shall go into effect immediately. SECTION 5. I'd like to remind our Representatives that there are 11 pieces of legislation on hold at this time. Most of them are not being considered because there's not enough proper evidence, reason, or debate to. Failing the HRC is going to significantly increase the chances of the legislation be held to die on that list because they won't go anywhere otherwise.
