I'm looking for a long-term dev team to help me with a game. I don't need too many people to start out with, but either way it would be cool to have as many people as possible. Our game will be a star wars game (much like battlefront) where you have two teams fighting against each other. Throw a few Jedi here-and-there and you have yourself a game! (not really) pretty much I need some dedicated, skilled, knowledgeable scripters, builders, GFX artists and effects specialists. If any of this interests you, please read below.
The Game: Right now the game that is up is very basic and has LOTS of placeholder pieces. I was trying to get as good of an idea of what it would be like as possible. The game itself isn't anything super original, but I plan on doing this right. (We will make it original! :P) Basically look at 2015 Star Wars Battlefront and think about that in ROBLOX. If you don't have a decent knowledge and respect for star wars, then you might want to reconsider taking a position, as you will be working on it for a while.
SCRIPTERS-----------------
The amount of scripters needed can and will change. I'm thinking anywhere from 2 to 5. You need to have an all-around knowledge of scripting, GUI s, functions, animations, team-specific events and functions, gun/weapon engines, health stuff, and all of that good stuff. If you don't know how to do any of these and you want to apply for this position, please tell me at some point so that I know what I need the other scripters to know what to do. See below for details on the pay.
BUILDERS-----------------
For this, we are going to need either different people on separate jobs, or a few people doing all at once. Whatever seems to best fit in the end.
There will be 4 Builder positions:
Weapons (This covers modeling the gun extensions, light sabers, some , and stationary weaponry as well as the guns themselves),
Maps,
Scenery,
Playermodels (armor, helmets, backpacks, etc.)
Anyone who can do more than one of these, please tell me in your application. See below for details on the pay.
GFX-----------------
We honestly don't need more than 2 people max working on this. For this, there will be two positions. The People on this position will help to make the game thumbnails, advertisements, clothes, some textures (only in some cases), and decals. See below for details on the pay.
EFFECTS SPECIALISTS-----------------
I honestly wasn't sure how to categorize this one. Under scripter, builder, or gfx. Pretty much what this is, is just someone who can make audio, visual, and gameplay effects such as cg imagery, lens flares, holograms, blazing sun effects, sounds, voice, etc. Some of these go under their respective groups of what they are, such as the lens flare effects would most likely be made by GFX, and then programmed to work by scripting.
THE WORK-----------------
This project is going to be going on for about 3 or more months before proper beta release. After the beta, you can choose to continue to work on updates and patches, or you can just stop working on the game (you would still have your percentage, you just won't be able to raise it any further). As I said above, I want to do this right. If you just want to make some quick robux making some half-baked game that barely works, then there are plenty other opportunities that you can take.
Pretty much every now and then we would all either just be working on our own to make this amazing game come together, or once in a while we would all get into a voice chat and make work together at the same time. I really don't expect you to do all of the work, just some. You can do as much work as you like.
THE PAY-----------------
Finally! The good stuff! What you've all been waiting for - the pay. I would like to avoid up-front payments as much as possible (with exceptions, of course.) The pay will be in percentage of how much the game itself makes. Of course, the percentage will depend on your contribution, the importance of your position, how well of a job done, and in addition will be negotiable at all times.
