Project MTB is a horror game scheduled for release in October. MTB is a horror game that wont bank on solely on an individual chasing you; instead a majority of the game is focused on facing fears, and challenging perceptions. I want this game to actually have the impact it is designed to do. That is why I am asking today what fears you have. What are those things in life that you just can't go near, or do? Those fears that are either popular, or interesting will most likely get featured in this game. If you have an idea feel free to post them bellow, or message myself. Please be assured that the only purpose of this is to find fears to add to the story, nothing will be noted of who said what. Thank you all for your time, and will be interested in what you put.

Mirrors in the dark. Not for the fact of my ugly face showing up, but idk... At night I try avoiding mirrors as much as I can L0L. It would give me the creeps if I could see something in the mirror that's not there in real life.

I like this mirror idea. Without giving away the story, there is a scene you can get involving a wreckage. I think a scene like this could really be improved with that mirror effect. Thanks for posting.

It must be noted that this game has no-connections with Ace Core. The Physical Gameplay shall be done entirely by myself. Anyone associated with this game who is not myself is part of our marketing, what wont be in full routine till march.

I would say confined (small) places, but that wouldn't be very effective via a videogame. Loud noises would be effective though.

Thank you both for the idea, and the your interest chris. As far as a beta goes, here is the current plan: - There will be a couple of private test on certain aspects of the game between march and June. - Mid-August will a single beta weekend. This will be free, but wont include the full game. - Late September will be a limited release to contest winners. (Contest being announced next week). - The game will be fully released for free on the 30th of October.

Thank you Excentic for that idea. It is sort of tricky to make people feel that intuitive in a game. I will say that I have ideas, some of which could infact bring this affect to the majority of users. For the loud sounds, I have tried to keep this game without as many as possible. There may be the odd smash, or cras, but I am going to try and use the sound itself to create the tension/scares instead of the volume.

Thank you above for all 3 of your suggestions. Spiders are great for horror, and that sleeping detail could find its way into this game. The criminal/murderers idea is one that rightly a fear. Although this game will feature criminal characters, I am not sure that label will be most accurate and the game is not really able to change to add that. Still a good thought.

Shadows, roblox added a new system that renders shadows a lot better with models that have a humanoid, must be worth checking it out.

Shadows is certainly something I want to add. I have been looking at these shadows/lighting updates, and I may have one or two ideas on how to make it work. Thanks for the idea.

I can't see ghost making it much into this game, but certainly some abnormal creatures will be involved.

The phantom is a good idea. It is the sort of thing that works in games, but may not suit this game. I will say there is a sense spirits at times, but it is delivered in a different manner. Enclosed spaces is one that has come up a few times now. I was talking to a mate yesterday, and we mentioned how to make people feel confined whilst looking at a screen. My solution to it, is very much to do with placement within the stories. The map is mostly enclosed, but does allow that space to not feel trapped, unless the story calls for it. For a game like this to be unpredicitable, it has to feel predictitable. That is something this game has been taking to its advantage. Without revealing everything, this game can be re-played and use a different set sof techniques. What that allows me to do is create a game that the user themselves make unpredictable.

darkness. but not the dark but more importantly, what may or may not be in the dark. certain horrifying nightmares coming true. loved ones being lost because of scary and grim reasons.
