Great book. Pretty short, too. The movie adaptions do change a few things, but they stay true to the book for the most part.

Ah, American schoolchildren are not introduced to basic English literature prior to reaching higher-grades?
That provides yet another example of why America's educational-system is inferior to the educational-systems of sophisticated countries such as China and Mongolia. |

I read Pinnochio and the myth of King Midas in early elementary school. May not be English literature, and they were likely abridged versions, but I still read them, and I can still give a rudimentary plot summary.

I read the book late of last year out of pure boredom. I'm not particularly fussed about it or the movies, but the book is rather good in my opinion. |
