It confuses me. Like it's making me mad. Anyone who knows what I'm talking about can probably explain it, there 'test' she gave for crescent code? Yeah that. Explain it?

It's either a red-herring or just really good coding. Either way, good luck with that! |

It's definitely legit code, because it powers the Libraries.
valkyrie.crescentcode.net/docs/Core
How about you get an idea by taking a look at the nice incomplete documentation. |

"wrapper object which tells the wrapper to wrap objects that are already wrapped"
Valkyrie is a Scam. |

Elunates what is a wrapper. |
|

Doesn't seem like a well documented feature of Lua, but it might involve adding pre/post processing to functions or somehow allowing code in other languages to interact with Lua. I'm clueless rn.

I didn't think you could bind things to c in roblox |
|

Why, it is a matter of programming-paradigms. Pure abstraction.
Analyze the individual conceptual components of the script. Afterwards, synthesizing them together will be much easier. |

7:30 in the morning here too early to look at code |

Elunates are you just using the wrapper to automatically decide which of the library's function in Valkyrie to use when doing a task? |

It's 6:30 here and I haven't slept in a day or two. |

Well, you seem rather incapable of recognizing the irony within your statement, given that you gauge intellectual-capabilities solely by crystallized knowledge. |

I've only glanced at it myself, because, to me, it is a useless library that only serves to slow down code. However, I also use jQuery in my client web development - which is basically the same thing. A wrapper for all JavaScript elements.
It definitely serves to make things easier (jQuery) by wrapping elements into tables which hold non-native functions or methods. These newly given functions or methods allow a system for which longer, more tedious tasks, can be automated by an internal structure.
This is what Valkryie serves to try and do. It allows the same functionality as jQuery does with its web elements. Valkryie takes a value (from what I last remember, a Lua userdata - possibly only ROBLOX objects [maybe tables now?]) and wraps it into a Valkryie-supported table with a given metatable. In fact, I believe it returns a userdata proxy.
I'm sure eLunate does not expect anyone to learn his (disregard my lack of care for what people think is a girl) code quickly. Learning someone else's code does take a bit of time. If he expects it to be done in less than a day - then he should only expect amateurs on his team. A day or two to study someone else's code and do a few tests is optimal for understanding its mechanics.
So as I said, Valkryie serves to create an extended object-oriented API for ROBLOX objects (again, not sure if it extends to other forms of values yet, or will) but it shouldn't need to. One key feature, I think, that is neat is it will allow you to almost natively add additional features to a wrapper. Such as a function for an object. Although, currently, a new wrapper stores a metatable which defaults to redirecting indices to a WrapperClass base lib. |
|
|
The wrapper is actually very simple. It overwrites all possibilities to add data, using metatables, without script creator authentication being the top level jurisdiction.
In realistic terms, an ordinary object in game turns into just another metatable (not really like a bunch of metatables.) |

Your thoughts are misplaced. I don't care if people want to say eLunate is a girl, was my point of statement. I personally do not believe it. eLunate is most clearly a boy. Valkryie itself is a more interesting matter. |

i think your expressed opinion on elunate's gender is inflammatory at best, but alright
i also think valkyrie is an interesting project. we'll have to see what is planned for the future, I hear quite expansive ideas for it. |
