I actually like lua for more simple projects (simple learning AIs, small-scale games, etc.), but when you want to do something huge, then I would suggest another language and maybe Unity engine.

I don't have any problems learning it, it's just too limited it feels.
Like a for loop:
I'm used to doing things like in javascript or Python.
Not some long complicated script for a something so simple in other languages.

I would rather use C, C++, C#, Java, PHP, or JavaScript.
Those are honestly all great languages and powerful ones in my opinion.
The last two, maybe not as much as the first 4, but good nonetheless.

I completely agree.
I'm so used to languages like C and C++ that I always use { and } instead of then/do and end.

You should use a lower-leveled language if you desire lower-level functionality.
High-level languages are hierarchically restrictive. The "simplicity" restrains you from many of the "complex" yet fundamental functions found in languages such as C or Assembly. |

First I should share what I think is going on with ROBLOX:
ROBLOX is gaining many new features, along with it comes the ability to make GREAT new games.
No one is really taking advantage of all the newer great things that became a reality in 2015. Like Solid Modeling, Smooth Terrain, New item properties.
Soon, I think, all these things will be in games, and ROBLOX will be alot better. Better than it's ever been.
My point:
I like the new features, but as soon as they become normal to us, ROBLOX needs to find a way to make another programming language available.
