It makes it sooooo laggy. 1.1 FPS, and happens on any game I do anything with AE3. 4 GHZ i7 6700k, AMD Radeon R9, and 32GB of RAM, can't help but feel this is to do with studio. Any ideas please?

"Seriously can we be a bit realistic here" yes, in fact he's 4,294,967,296 bits of realistic here

What is your total RAM usage, and how much of that is actually Roblox?

Because I have a Mac (I know, I know), I need a 3rd party app to tell me how much RAM I'm using, and it says this: https://gyazo.com/b8a85c928ed218990b1b5313589f12c6 So, I'm using 12GB

Given your specs, everything should be working pretty smoothly. Could be a software problem, perhaps? I would say give Studio an elevated priority for a second in Task Manager, but > Mac

Is it ONLY with Animation Editor 3? Does disabling it do you any good?

It starts when I open it, get progressively worse, then continues once it's closed. It's now actually showing a loading icon when I try and move the camera. Fooking mac

"The system does it automatically. Every app gets as much RAM as it needs and memory allocation happens instantly. This is even improved in Mavericks with "compressed memory". As much RAM as needed is allocated to the app you're working in and when you switch to another app it's instantly reallocated.. Apps you're not using at that instant are put in hibernation to conserve RAM, Auto termination. No need for anything like you describe. In fact it could only mess up the architecture of your system." Hmp. Stupid suggestion, but have you tried re-installing?

Reinstalling the animator or the entirety of studio

Just to let you know, Roblox runs on 32 bit. It would not recognize over 4GB of RAM

I did think so, that's the limit of content in a table

Studio entirely
lordrambo
#183114904Saturday, February 06, 2016 10:05 PM GMT

because the 32bit program assumes it can only address 4gb of memory (2^32 = 4gb) because that's the size of the registers in the cpu without PAE (32 bits) but anyway I doubt there's only a 32bit version of roblox, but I guess I wouldn't actually know

Same exact problem with me, when I open up animation editor in my studio, it works fine for about 30 seconds then it starts to get really laggy to the point where I need to force quit the studio. I'm on a Mac as well so it might be a glitch for Mac users?

At this point all I can say is switch to AE 2 and tough it out. Possibly find more people and get something going on Anaminus's bug tracker.
