(this isnt for roblox, this is for the people who constantly suggest removing inactive accounts)
people who are hungry for namesnipes seem to think that removing inactive accounts is a good idea, however there are 2 reasons why it is not.
1. theres this thing called "life". what if someone leaves roblox and comes back after a year or so? how do you think that person will react when their account is gone?
2. there are many inactive accounts with popular classic places on them. removing the accounts with those places on them will not only upset the creator who made them, but it will also upset the people trying to play them.
also, ROBLOX (the account) is an inactive account. i can only imagine how awful it'll be when ROBLOX is deleted.
Number of times opinion has changed: A lot. |

Full support.
I've been inactive for periods of time and I've had this account for 6 years. I always find my way back to Roblox and would be highly upset if my account was banned for being inactive. |

Suggestion
If that robloxian is gone for 6 months, a letter regarding the removal of its account will be sent via email.
The account will remove once the 24 hour countdown ended.
If the user didn't login for that period of time. |

-Obviously; the main reason would be for new players to get a namesnipe. Although the large portion of people who makes suggestions to delete old accounts are looking for a namesnipe, there's a small number who isn't, who simply wants the newer players to benefit.
1. My personal suggestion said 3+ years; if there's a player from 2008 that's been inactive up to this point, and they actually remember they had a Roblox account, here's a few problems:
-They mostly likely forgot their account login info
-Even if they DO remember their info, they clearly didn't care enough about their account to log back in sooner, so, in my opinion, they don't deserve it.
2. There are VERY little older players who actually have things like this. You're all stuck in nostalgia.
3. One of my suggestions was to keep popular/well know Roblox players, as well as admins/mods/etc. They obviously won't delete the ROBLOX account.
They WON'T delete accounts. Mods have said so. I just disagree with them.

No; I'd prefer all players be deleted. (Not including moderators) But, like I said, people are stuck in nostalgia. Roblox would decide what happens to these players.
I'm not going to count every popular player on Roblox, because, like you said, "whether or not you're "popular" is subjective and cannot be proven." By popular, however, I personally would say a known developer.
Anything. Multiple people give examples like models and places (which you mentioned.)
Disagreeing with this subject doesn't make you stuck in nostalgia if you're thinking about it the correct way. You've named multiple great points outside of "What if ____'s account was deleted?" The "nostalgic" side are the ones that name certain users off who barely had any actual impact at all on anything, and deleting their account would do very little.
On the note that players could simply go inactive again; yes, this is 100% true. I would say the chances are lowered for a couple reasons:
-ROBLOX has a much larger community
-ROBLOX (arguably) is now more "attractive", and will keep people interested longer.
That's your opinion and I respect it. Here was my personal suggestion on this that developed a bit in the replies, I suggest scanning through them if you're gonna read this at all:

ROBLOX would be the one to terminate the accounts through automation, why would the program delete itself?

Good idea. Since soon i am going on a vacation for around a week... And i'm visiting roblox hq! Doe i a'm going on a vacation in around 3 months.... -.- But still if i Went to roblox hq and my account got deleted while i was there... I would have destroyed my computer.... Literally. |
|
|
Or if people wanted to go inactive for like a week there maybe should be a system... Like i could choose to be inactive for around a week and two Days? And if i dont come back online by then i get a warning? And if you get 3 warnings you get banned maybe? I dont know, please dont hate me! 3; |

You make the account, it's yours. It's real simple. |

I like how the people who suggest that accounts should get deleted joined 1/2 years ago. It's their fault they did not start playing before then. |

@Darkno57
The main reason for this is for new players to receive better usernames when they join, yes. I'm sure if you could get a really good one (along with 1k Robux of course) you would grab it, seeing as you have numbers in your username.
@King
Nobody is suggesting a week, if this idea was about deleting accounts after a single week of inactivity then I wouldn't be supporting it.
@AWisp
Not everyone who's suggesting this joined recently. I'll admit a large chunk of the people who are supporting the account deletion are wanted namesnipes >themselves<, but there's a small portion (including me) who wants the newer players to grab better usernames. I got a really stupid Roblox-recommended one for my first account, and I'm sure many new players are doing the same and will regret it in the future.

I dont think you understand how deleting inactive accounts would work
accounts will be deleted if accounts
haven't been verified, haven't bought bc or robux
and haven't logged onto roblox for about 2 years |
|
|
This is not a suggestion, so I wont support. It wont happen, and deleting inactive accounts has never actually happened before, and the suggestion for that hasnt been made real.
