Really ROBLOX?
Whitelist, probably one of the things that will BURN ROBLOX to the ground.
For those of you who don't know Whitelist is what lets players under 13 communicate on ROBLOX, but compared to safechat they can BARELY communicate! We 13+ members have Blacklist which has blocked words, but why can't 12- players have that? Maybe not the one we have, just one that's protected some more! But Whitelist? Seriously... that's just awful! So many poundkeys everywhere I feel like I'm on Instagram!
What I ask for is simple. FIX WHITELIST! You don't even have to remove it just REPAIR IT! Or just switch it over to blacklist, but have MORE CENSORED WORDS! Honestly I have no clue why they didn't do this already. With a more ranged area of words for whitelist or a more censored blacklist for 12- users, ROBLOX would be more enjoyable. Hundreds of players have left due to frustration from all the "hashtag nonsense." But without all this nonsense, we can have more players, and more social activity within ROBLOX!
Here are answers to responses I expect:

Ahem, I'm sure some parents don't want their child lying their age, and can find out then get mad!

Actually this isn't undoing an entire update, this is FIXING one. I'm not saying get rid of the feature just make it better.

Whitelist hasn't burned roblox to the ground so far...
It's annoying, but also a peace-of-mind for parents. Adding "more sensored words" isn't the solution, roblox's filter is already easy enough to bypass. |

we should change it entirely
instead of hashtags showing up when you send a bad word, there should be a whitelist. if you chat something not on the whitelist, you CAN'T send the message. |

Whitelist has caused players to leave and made people insanely mad at ROBLOX, adding more censored words IS a solution, just give them blacklist like us just protect it more.

That's probably worse! I'm saying how can we fix the issue how communication on ROBLOX sucks thanks to whitelist, at least we can see SOME words with the hashtags, with this idea we could see none.

Censoring words on ROBLOX doesn't solve anything. You can easily copy and paste letters/numbers in the middle of a swear and it will bypass it.

Support Had an change of date because I thought the white list was on , it was not it was just other under aged players , but I can not change it back and I can SAYing that it is a hell to TRYing and communicate we do not even have access to number doeS and some common word doeS are blocked too. |

Full support. This is just stupid. When I'm roleplaying with others, I can barely understand what they're saying because of the whitelist, and when I try to tell that to them, they don't understand! |

I think 13 + should have no filter or they should add a 18 + with out one cause older people cuss and censoring them is dumb I do have to say this is an alright idea. |

People always forget that they used to not be able to talk at all on the website, so undeniably they are better off now than they were then, even if it is frustrating.
In fact, the old in-game safechat system was technically a whitelist. An extreme whitelist. |

Adding more censored words can cause users that set there birthday wrong accidently like me. This is probably not the best idea as people making groups that are under 13 could get there titles censored, (Like me...) and its almost impossible for them to create a group description.
Adding more censored words can also be caused to a person that's not typing a explicit word to get Hashtaged even known there not saying anything 18+/13+.
And know since RBLX does not allow you to change your birthday it is frustrating that you realize you set your birthday wrong and know it is trapped as Safe Chat Protected.
But there is a way that you won't be safe chat protected severely, but that's a different topic.
So right now I'm torn, if anyone wants to explain why this is a good/bad idea, please inform me. |

But it was the persons choice to set there age wrong. And parents don't want there kids lying about there birthday, and RBLX's best idea was to switch there birthday to locked until 13+.
And after a few months to near a year of gaming on Roblox, you'll start to get used to it. I am not saying wait a year or half a year. I'm saying think about your decisions before you make them. Because it was your choice to set it wrong than your actual birthday. |
