Roblox claims posting good ideas here will get them support. Well, let's put that to the test. I'd like to suggest that the current method of inputting the name of a group into the alliance request text box be replaced with inputting the group id into the alliance request text box. As some of you may know, it's pretty much impossible to send an alliance request to a group that shares the same name as another group. It was pretty clear just how problematic it'd be to use the name of the group in the alliance sending process to begin with. Using the id of the group will resolve all name conflict issues, thus improving the overall experience. Please show this objectively wonderful suggestion support so that Roblox may consider implementing what should've been implemented to begin with. Summary: Change alliance requests being sent with the name of the group to being sent with the id of the group.

How to solve: 1. Go to http://www.roblox.com/My/Groups.aspx?gid={ID U WANT} 2. Copy group name verbatim (including trademark signs or whatever crazy stuff people put in the title) 3. Paste into the box you want to send the request to It work's; I just tested it.

@MakerModelLua You're mistaken. There are a variety of cases where copying and pasting fails to copy properly. For example, when you use Alt+255 in place of spaces. Your suggestion only works in most cases, which makes it useless in other cases. My suggestion would take care of all cases.

Through a little bit of experimentation, i've determined browsers don't even support. So idk how it's even displaying for you. Alt+255(Hex: a0)

Actually, the problem seems to be something in a textbox. When the form is submitted back, it omits any a0 hexes
