Magic :) It can be quite hard, especially if you're very close to these two friends because it would be so easy to screw it up. But, what you need to is try and find the root of the problem. Find out what the hell is causing Person A and Person B to be like "pick me" "no, pick me". You need to work with them to see eye to eye, and it can be hard, but you need to work at it with genuine effort. On the other hand, if it's a girlfriend and friend situation, which I've only had once, it's an entirely different story. You need to be a bit bias to your gf, but you can't fall out with your friend. You need to somehow find a way to get them to get along with each other, maybe a compromise, but it's not easy. I can't really go into anymore detail because the finer aspects are dependant on your relationship with these people, who they are as a person, etc.

Well, I really don't know how to help you. I've had this kind of situation with friends, but this is different. Is there anyway you can come to a compromise, or that your gf can look past their differences and get along with your ex while she's around?

Well your kinda screwed then. You have no choice but to choose, rather ironic really. You either choose your gf over your ex, or your ex over your gf. Hint: One of them is the wrong choice.
