Wouldn't a plain area encourage users to build something, rather than a house with trees that already feels built for you? |

the 2011 place was a HUGE map, it had vehicles, a lighthouse, a fun ramp that you drove over to fly across a river, and a secret military base with a UFO. Tell me that isn't awesome. |

Anyone who disagrees with this, is just someone who just hates newbies. I loved the old map, it was beautiful. Now, it's just trash- an empty baseplate.
What would be more appealing to newbies?
A large, beautiful landscape, or a boring, blank baseplate?
You shouldn't expect everyone to just be "fine" with a blank baseplate.
YEAH, it might encourage people to build more - but I remembered back then, it was so fun to build upon the map. It was great. |

The version=1 can be 1 through whatever it is now. 1 will be the 2007 happy home in robloxia.
When it's downloaded, it will be a 32 byte hash. Open it in notepad and simply name it whatever you want. Make sure to save it as "All file types" and add the .rbxl extension. Then, just open it in studio! |

IK I can just play it anytime, but I'd love to see some newbies take on the map and see what they add if they decide to edit that instead of a boring baseplate. the reason that the map was changed was because people were never inspired to make anything other than dropping models into it
when i started your first place was just a house and a bunch of bricks with a guide of how to manipulate the bricks, and thats all you needed you made your own things
starting in the 2011 map was basically being given a fully created world and sometimes you might modify what already existed
then there was the one with the yellow house and the stamper tool, but that was really just to show off terrain
now you get a large flat area, and you're given the tools to make something basic, thats it
and thats good enough |
