Julia is trying to decide between the following phone plans. • Plan A costs $60 per month and includes 500 minutes. There is an additional charge of $0.05 for each minute used over 500. • Plan B costs $25 per month and includes 200 minutes. There is an additional charge of $0.10 for each minute used over 200. If Julia uses 450 minutes per month, how much less will it cost her each month if she uses Plan B instead of Plan A?

lmao i took algebra 1 last year in 8th grade. at this point in the year, we were doing problems with the quadratic formula. i'm in geometry now in 9th grade and it's hella easy.

@Fad You think you do but you actually don't. Trust me, you don't. Don't get me wrong, both are easy, but I almost made that mistake involving Pre calculus and calculus and trying to skip through both in one semester, just pre calc was quite a bit although I could've likely done both, it may have been overwhelming and it is nearly impossible to find out what you need to know for each class to take the test and just pass it, it doesn't quite work like that, you will be missing plenty of things... especially in geometry with the variety of theorems used in proofs. Just wait it out, this is incredibly basic algebra 1. [DAMN DANIEL]

@All you people bragging I'm a freshman that can do calculus. You aren't impressive. Also I just realized OP is two years ahead somehow yet he can't do basic algebra 1. I hope he fails for being a dumbass. [DAMN DANIEL]

i do know it dumbass but my school has no way for me to get into it there's no test for you to take to get into it my friend is in geometry and i help him do his homework because he doesn't know anything about math

Lol its easy, i aso got 10. She goes 250 minutes over her bill for plan B (Rebel) So thats an extra 25$, it allready costs $25, so now Plane B officialy costs $50 Plan A she does NOT go over her limit, and only has to pay the regular fee, which is $60 60-50=10 #code print( ~~[[CHECK OUT NOOBION]]~~ http://www.roblox.com/My/Groups.aspx?gid=2687134

yup, indeed you are. im in 7th grade and i did that in like 10 seconds. and that really isnt algebra dude. If you call that hard algebra, just wait till you get to 8th grade #code print( ~~[[CHECK OUT NOOBION]]~~ http://www.roblox.com/My/Groups.aspx?gid=2687134

I'm assuming you need to write a function of some sort for it which will calculate total difference in cost over time, since this is algebra. f(x) = ((25+0.10(450x-200))) - ((60+0.05(450x-500))) I might have messed up on the question, but that could maybe help?

Does it reset each month though? That's my question.

#184663833Thursday, March 03, 2016 12:59 AM GMT

Think about it a bit like this: x = monthly cost y = included minutes z = additional charge after x minutes Total cost of A = x So Total cost of A = 60 Total cost of B = x + (450 - y)*z So Total cost of B = 25 + (450 - 200)*0.1 = 50 60 - 50 = $10 Do you see how works?

"YOU SURE PROVED ME WRONG MR DOGE now stop being so self absorbed, one of my friends took the ACT in 6th grade and got a 35, and is in calc as a freshman as well" I'm not in calc I can just do it, I'm going in next year because if I go any farther I run out of classes so it's likely you're lying as schools only let you skip grades after the point that I'm at. Also I find it odd that you remember someone's test score from 3 years ago exactly then your counterpoint just happens to go straight against mine. Plus it is your friend, not you. [DAMN DANIEL]

As in, do the minutes stack onto eachother reseting each month? If so, then my calculates are slightly inaccurate.
