ROBlOX. Oh roblox. You are turning into a GREAT game, and making everything very modern, which in my opinion is great, and i love it. But R15 is taking away the ROBLOX theme.
You can't say that you dont have a theme, because you do. When you are changing the way we look, move and all the graphics so that we cant EVER make it like what we expect roblox to be, there is a problem. But besides the point of the ROBLOX theme being janked up, what else is wrong? Well here are some.
- Ruins TONS of shirts/pants. The shirt that are made were not designed to be crinckled, and folded. They were designed for the classic R6 ROBLOX xharacter movement, so you may as well throw these out the door.
- R15 makes ROBLOX look like a safari game. We look like some guy in the military marching up a mountain after he murdered someone. ROBLOX is really not one of those games. Dont you think this may look a tad bit "Off" on Work at a Pizza Place, or any game like that. It completely changes how the game's theme is as well.
- The users have input too. ROBLOX, just instead of looking at facts, or ethics, open up for a second and just think, "How would our users react" You know we went CRAZY after a not so bad profile layout, and some still do, This will be worse than the Price floor, because playing games is the #1 thing on ROBLOX, and welp frankly us users dont want the games to turn into this R15 mess.
What you can do- Do what you did with the GUIs, make the gear petition. One sign for "We want R15" and the other for "DONT Release R15!"
Don't believe me? Ok release R15, and then we'll see who's right.

new user might think the physics and characters are cool and such and will like the game more

Or at LEAST make it possible for users to stay on the R6 avatar for compatability reasons. |

Also, a few OTHER things that @chatowillwin (OP) seems to have to have not seen:

Clothes will still fit on R15! They may be a bit weird and stretch a tiny bit, but packages do that too. Nothing out of the ordinary. They will be making an R15 clothing template which I assume will be really easy to use and re-publish to R15.

The beta animations you are seeing will be changed by the time (or very soon after) it is released. Those are called programmer animations and they were made by the developers to test the model. ALL of them will be remade.

Obviously. They're getting feedback right now and it's about a 60/40 split on Like/Dislike, but that's because many people think it's mandatory or are getting stuck on things they saw during beta. It's all getting fixed. |

You can choose between R6 and R15. If you want to keep your R6 clothing, use R6. If you are using it in your game, as a 'character creation' or something similar, force the user to use R6. You'll be given an API to know the difference. Also, all assets- clothing, hats, etc. will work with R15, albeit maybe not as well as it looks on R6.

All the animations are temporary, the only thing that stays the same is the fact that there's 15 joints, rather than 6.

Again, the user has a choice in this, and the developers have an API to know what is being used; If YOU want to keep it 100% R6, YOU can do that.
This is just a rant, not constructive criticsm at all, as you didn't even know the facts before going in. Have you even looked at the devforum? Have you read any articles on it released by ROBLOX? Or have you just gone to the R15 demo and said "oh I don't like this!"?

If you read the blog, it says that you can go into Settings and switch it EASILY!

r15 is optional unless set by a developer for his game in which he probably has a good reason
