Hello! If you've probably noticed, in today's technology, quality has become a must in the digital world. Not to mention social media, almost everyone has an Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter (unless you're 92+), and everyone has posted stuff on it, surely. With all this in mind, I am suggesting a new thing into ROBLOX, which I call "ROBLOX Video Recorder Version 2.0".
Yes, ROBLOX does already have a recorder! This way, we can distinguish that there is now 2.0 version, and the original has been set aside. As I mention earlier, quality has become a must. If you've ever recorded something in ROBLOX recorder (and you have set the quality of it in ROBLOX Studio to high), you'll notice the quality is 240p maximum. The video looks like it came from a can and string.
With all this being said, I am attempting to gain "supports" on this forum in hopes of upgrading ROBLOX's recorder.
ROBLOX Video Recorder Version 2.0 should include:
> ATLEAST 720p HD video quality
> A recording hotkey (such as F8) to start and stop recording
> A microphone option if a microphone is detected on their device
> ATLEAST 30 minutes of recording time per video
Besides all of this, another reason ROBLOX should add this is for the following reason; More people recording ROBLOX equals more people learning of ROBLOX, more people learning of ROBLOX equals more people playing, more people playing equals more people buying things, and more people buying and playing things equals more money for ROBLOX!

I'd have no minimum. Youtube doesn't require a minimum, so neither should ROBLOX. |

Um... what? I don't think you understand. That is the MAXIMUM recording time. Right now the maximum for the ROBLOX Recorder is around 15 (I think).
Infinite maximum time would make the file much too large, so it should cut it down into segments of 30 minutes, rather than 15. |

I don't know if I'd support this or not, but just saying, a 30 minute video at 720p would be around 1 GB if the video was 10 mbps. That's still huge for just a little game-made recorder to handle.
The only purpose the Roblox recorder has is so people can make trailers for their game if they don't have an actual official screen recorder. It's not supposed to be great.

it takes 2 minutes to download OBS and you get whatever video quality as you want hotkeys optional microphons optional AND unlimited recording so i get youre saying roblox record is poopfest all over again but obs was here the whole time and so many people got it that roblox didnt focus on roblox record

Please remember if your computer can support that you could just use obs |

You should be glad roblox even has a recorder. Just use a third party recorder like everyone else. |

support, however you should just use a third party recorder. theyre much much better and more professional.
