Instead of material type why not make it a type of light effect. Then you could add settings like these. 1 - overlap:Where the fuzzy effect has a max and minimum range of effect over anything in or around the edge of the block. 2 - Color:Choose your color and maybe even a secondary color to make a 3D Blue/Red effect 3 - Glow: this is a true/false choice if false it does not light up objects around it. If true it will need a range of how far and how strong. Other effects will be the usual like maybe angle, or witch face the neon effect is on,enabled and shadows Again just an idea, but the reason I was thing about is I'm making a game and the neon blur effect was too difficult too control and the color was never perfectly on spot as expected.

"Scriptable." Please explain... It would need to interact with parts, so using GUIs would have incorrect results.

Ye sorry Working on a new game and was on the screen-GUI part of it. I'm just juggling a lot of PROFESSIONAL SCRIPTING in my game , but what is important is this idea of a LIGHT EFFECT that gives the neon effect and is SCRIPT-ABLE like any other light effect.
