well i dont run the 1 mile but i do know how to run in general
first youd have to practice it a lot, since with a longer race like this strategy is hard
id recommend not starting out too fast, but finding a decent speed, like 65-70%. Maintain this exact speed until runner's high kicks in, then maintaining and even elevating it a bit should be easy.
Obviously on the last 100m or so youd like to have a kick, so practice that too |
