It's because they need to receive treatment into their brain which would be better preformed with less hair.

I'm going to assume you honestly don't know how Cancer works. With cancer, cells multiply without stopping. Imagine your wound didn't stop healing after the skin was covered. You'd get a continually growing bump. Besides surgery, chemotherapy is a common treatment. Radiation is shot through a person which kills the cells over time. The problem, as stated a few posts ago, is that it kills ALL cells and not just the ones multiplying. This results in side effects such as hair loss.
