because chemotherapy destroys not just cancer cells, but all cells, though they try to target just the cancer cells, they're unable to control anything 100% efficiently.
nothing can be 100% efficient.....

It's due to the medicine they take, it causes some cells to die and most likely attacks the cells near the roots of hair, causing baldness. It's due to the cells near the root being attacked by the medication which is supposed to kill cancer, but kills some of your cells in the process.
