Now with the new windows 10 update me and a lot of other people have switched over to using Linux.
Now I have to continuously switch between linux and windows just to play roblox.
ROBLOX, please add linux support. |

you can try using a virtual machine or something while waiting for them to port it (idk if they will though, it seems like they are avoiding it. when people started to make programs like ROBLOX Linux Wrapper, they patched it. then people started trying to port the android version to linux, didn't work because they specifically used code that only works on android and would need an entire re-write for it to work on linux. then they say roblox doesn't support i386 android (because you can port it to linux). they really seem to be avoiding it)

ROBLOX runs on a Mac.
A mac is based off Unix.
Guess what else is based of Unix... Linux!
Meaning most of the coding is already done! |

Mac OS is based on a BSD code base, while Linux is an independent development of a unix-like system. They aren't binary-compatible, and they DEFINITELY are not the same thing.
Also they're adding the Linux command line to Windows 10 so hype for that :P |

No they are not the same thing but they are both based off the same thing.
Meaning most code doesn't need to be changed.

I looked around on why they scrapped it. But it's only on video and hard to explain for me. Just search up. Why Roblox scrapped linux based gaming and you might find it. Some people might explain it better on youtube or other sites. |

What I assume from some articles is that ROBLOX's port to Linux was a port made by Shedletsky as a side-project.
ROBLOX should be 100% compatible, since it doesn't handle with Internet Explorer anymore.

They actually said at the GDC in feb or march of this year that it's not a very big item on their to-do list due to the fact that less than 1% of all the playerbase is on linux

The only solution is to use a virtual machine to run windows and play ROBLOX.
But that wouldn't solve the problem, costs money, is slow, ... |

then use ANDROID SDK to emulate android, download ROBLOX.apk, and play througout there
its not much, but at least you can play it this way
