Everything seems to be going to plan so far! Defending champions Ottawa struggle to a 1-1 draw with Fargo early on the season, though, and has people thinking that the 7th placed preseason pick was accurate. The new-look Oakland Otters jump out to 1st place in the first week with a giant 4-0 win over a depleted Milwaukee team, who could be in for a long season. Squikers went 2/2 and posted a clean sheet in his first ever game for the Otters. Birmingham looks like a team to watch out for. With CheeseyMacral in defense this season along with Nomer up top and Drbat in net, this could be a team that does some serious damage to the top teams.

I still don't get how I didn't win gk of the year last season. I had more saves then anyone else while also staying above 70%. I had less 10 less GA then halloween with 16 more shots faced and 26 more saves.

Idk if you were talking about the original post on this thread dr or not, because those are just the preseason predictions, not last year's awards. But anyway...Don't be a fool, man! XG deserved that award, he carried Colorado last season. |

Btw is everyone OK if I don't do TOTWs this season? It usually slows me down twice as much as I could go and with Champions League/Europa League this season will be longer than usual. |

Ottawa Oblivion...WHERE YOU AT? Ottawa falls 2-5 to Colorado Athletic, who appears to be one of the title favorites right now. A shocking defeat, Zammy went just 4/9 on saves while XG went 10/12 for Colorado. That's been the difference so far this season for Ottawa, Zammy coming off a TOTW year is just 57% on saves in his first two games. And how about these Oakland Otters??? Looking like a team straight out of Tiny's fantasy. The addition of Squikers at GK has shored up the backline issues, Mop is one of the best defenders in the league so far, and Sir just put up 3 SOG and 1 goal vs Fargo. And don't be surprised if the ISL New All-Stars win a game this season. This isn't your grandpa's ISL All-Stars team.

5 unbeaten teams left, Colorado and New England the only perfect teams left. FWD Moldymasterchiff has not skipped a beat for Colorado this season, picking up where he left off last season, leading the league with 3 goals so far on the season. Moldy finished 2nd in scoring last season and earned himself a TOTY spot. One of the surprises of the season has been Ottawa's struggle, all the way down at 16th, they have yet to record a win, absolutely shocking. They fell 1-0 to Birmingham, recording just 1 SOG, and they are starting to become the ISL Chelsea. Death has yet to score a single goal after scoring more than 30 last season, and Omaha's title hopes are in jeopardy.

TOTY WATCH:
Xtremegaming has been absolutely brilliant in net for Colorado so far, recording a league high 30 saves on a league high 91% saves. He has helped Colorado earn the #1 spot in the league, his most recent performance a 12/13 save exhibition against a strong Oakland side.
Centerback Ftt has been impeccable for Calgary in defense this season, not allowing his opponents to record a single SOG against him. He is looking like the defender of the year thus far, only Dean (1 SOG allowed for Omaha) can challenge him for that honor at the moment. |
