Because it leaves them with wrong, preconceived notions that they pass on to their kids once they grow up. You know how racism was stopped? White kids made friends with black kids. All other forms of hate work in a very similar way. |

Except this is actually happening. There are young kids being subjected to the debauchery of pride parades. |

Also, pop culture doesn't simply inform kids about the LGBT movement, it conditions them to accept it at face-value. That is a value judgment they need to make for themselves. The same can almost be said of parents who indoctrinate their kids to hate LGBTs, except that those specific perceptions aren't fueled by media. |
