Chief of Police - Management and disciplinary actions Assistant Chief- Management and disciplinary actions Chief Detective- Management and disciplinary action of Detectives Deputy Chief - Training Deputy Chief - Admissions Captain - Patrol Logging Captain - Discharge Reporting Captain - SWAT Detective Captain - Investigations Detective Captain - Internal Affairs Lieutenant - Patrol Logging Lieutenant - Discharge Reporting Lieutenant - SWAT Detective Lieutenant - Investigations Detective Lieutenant - Internal Affairs ------------------------------------------------ Sergeant/Senior Sergeant - In-charge of a unit, receives all discharge reports and patrol logs from the officers/corporal within their unit, and sends them including their own to the Lieutenant of such duty. Patrol supervisor. (Unit Sergeants may be either a senior or regular sergeant depending on how long they've served.) ------------------------------------------------ Investigations Detective - Investigates MVAs, Homicides, and interrogation Internal Affairs Detective - Investigates discharges, reckless officers ------------------------------------------------ Corporal - Assistant to the unit's Sergeant, receives NO reports, still sends their personal logs/reports to the Sergeant. ------------------------------------------------ Officer/Senior Officer - Basic patrol unit. Senior officer is given for extensive time serving as an Officer or exceptional performance within a time period.
