This was it, the last day I walk on Earth would be the first day I move into my college dorm. My dad dropped the last of my belongings on the doorstep of my dorm, and we had a long hug after that. I don't remember much after but that I cried a lot, not because I was beginning a new chapter in my life, but because this was the last time he was ever going to see me. It was going to be successfully perfect. We parted our ways and I started to panic after. I was really doing this, it was finally happening. I laughed of painful joy. You see, depression is un-curable. You can eat as many anti-depressants and get as much therapy as you want. Depression hides under your skin, it's like cancer, an ever growing tumor that will devour you by the moment. Over the time depression becomes your friend, both lonely and comforting; both painful and addicting. It was my only friend. With these thoughts circulating through my head I walked down the corridor headed for the school pool. It was located on the left wing of the library, perfectly hidden away from people. Opening the metal pool gates I made sure to scan my surroundings before entering in. The pool was huge, I would've preferably liked to have dumped my dead body into an ocean but for now a pool would do. I climbed my way up the tallest diving board and made my way to the edge. Turning my back towards the water I looked up at the cloudy blue sky. Taking my last breath, I fell in. As the water was sucked into my nose and lungs, pain started to kick in. I resisted the urge to reach for air, I couldn't swim so I was screwed either way. Looking up I saw the sun rays shining through the water, it very beautiful and also very usual of someone to think about if they were about to die. Things were getting blurry as I felt my heartbeat slow down. This reminded me of something, but what? Oh yes a dream not too long ago a dream I had of drowning in a ocean. I sanked to the bottom of this ocean, it was very empty and very lonely. The ocean was hugging me and rocking me to sleep. In my dream I held out my hand towards the surface, hoping and wishing someone would come. But nobody came, and I was alone. Slowly closing my eyes I heard a blocked-out splash. Someone or something reached towards my hand and grabbed me.

Struggling to drag the heavy girl out of the water, I almost drowned myself along the way with her. The last thing I wanted was for some random emo to poison the pool water for the whole swim team. I would've preferred a more skinnier girl, but the odds were never in my favor. Laying her flat on the cement ground I removed her black long hair away from her face to prepare for CPR. Like I said the odds were never in my favor. Her lips were chappy and she had pimples all over her face.
"Ewh", I accidentally allowed to slip out of my mouth.
But nevertheless she was probably already halfway towards the underworld and I needed to hurry. My lips almost touched hers til she coughed violently; spitting water into my face. I flinched away with irritation.
"WHAT THE HECK DO YOU THINK YOU'RE DOING?!", she yelled.
"I should ask you the same thing", I replied.
"ENDING MY LIFE! UH HELLO!!!!"
"Well I was just saving your life, you're very welcome."
"I DIDN'T ASK"
"You don't have a choice."
"WATCH ME"
She reached towards the pool again, thankfully I was able to grab her in time and pin both of her hands and feet down.
"Look! If you're going to end your life go do it some place else. Because this is MY pool! I swim in it, and I don't need some emo girl's body rotting in it! Ok? got it!", I yelled.
I scrambled towards the exit in annoyance and left the girl there. Hopefully she wouldn't try to end her life. Holy crap do girls annoy me.

Those words stung like a bee. But he was right, I was nothing my a useless emo who needed to go rot some place else. I laid on the cement floor of the pool for a good 5 minutes before I finally decided I didn't really want to end my life anymore. Stupid boys and their egotistical personalities! Stupid, stupid! I got up and headed back to my dorm room. When I opened the door to my dorm I noticed the shower running. It must be my room mate. Her stuff was laided out nicely on her bed. Shampoo-shine? MousseTheHair? Ha ha! She sounded like an airhead. I forgot that my clothes were still wet from the recent event, so I quickly un-zipped my bag and took off my shirt. Right then the bathroom door opened, hot steaming spilling out. A tall slim figure approached from the bathroom, she had big melons- wait these weren't girl melons... The tall boy ripped with a six pack walked out of the shower rubbing a towel through his hair, his bottom half covered (luckily). The boy from the recent event locked eyes with me, we both realized the awkward situation we were in, and screamed (his scream more high pitched than mines). I grabbed something and threw it at him.
"NO! NOT MY MOUSETHEHAIR PRODUCT, DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THAT THING COSTED ME!?", He yelled.
"YOU PERVERT! GET OUT GET OUT!", I yelled back throwing the bottle at him
"WHAT ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT THIS IS MY ROOM YOU EMO FREAK!"
"THIS IS MY ROOM, YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF ME!"
"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NOBODY WOULD EVE-
I grabbed another hair product from his bed.
"PLEASE NO NOT MY SHAMPOOSHINE!"
I threw it anyways.

We both sat quietly in the office waiting for Mrs. Hickleson (Dorm Manager) to get off the phone. In the meantime I avoided making any eye contact with that witch sitting next to me.
"Alright I'll talk to you later, bye bye. Now what seems to be the proble- oh my you two look terrible", Mrs. Hickleson stated.
"Yes right, but that's not why we're here. There's been a mistake, we both got assigned to the same room", I said.
"Now what dorm number are you two?", she asked.
"D68", we both said in sync.
Looking through a big packet she finally replied, "Awh yes! There's no mistake, you two are to share a room together. There weren't any girls left for you (looking at the girl) to room with so we had to make some minor adjustments."
"I can't room with this..... emo!", I stated
The girl scoffed at him.
"And I can't room with his all mighty princess", she yapped back.
"I'm sorry, but if you two would like you can each pay for separate rooms which would cost you a lot more than sharing. Your choice", Mrs. Hickleson replied. |
