I do Boxing.
You'll need to really build up your endurance, and body (Mainly Biceps, triceps, abs, etc)
|
|
|
How would I start it up? Go to a local sport center/gym and see if they have classes? |

To start boxing you can literally just google near by Gyms.
The workout is pretty simple. Just get a pull up bar, a medicine ball, dumbells, and other small equipment and just push yourself. I work out in my garage.

And if you want to start boxing, get a punching bag or go to a gym.
Do like 2 minutes of Jabs/Crosses...etc, then do like 3-5 minutes of core strengthening, then do like 5 minutes of stairs (Stair climbing)
And just mix up your routine.
Do that for about an hour straight with only small breaks 3 times a week. |

If it was an easy workout, why would professional boxers do a close to identical workout to get ready for a match?
lol

so they dont get tired b4 the match? |

I'm just saying that I expected a harder workout, not saying it would be a walk in the park, but I expected more strenuous workouts for boxers, but I'm not complaining. |

I've been boxing for a while. If you've seen my album pic you can tell.
It's an excellent mental workout as much as it is physical. I compete for the University's boxing team, too. Golden Gloves went well for our team. School got in the way of competing for some, but overall it was a good year. |

HMAX what the heck kind of training have you been doing?
I train 4 times a week, Coach wants me in there even MORE often than that but I don't have the time with school to be in more than 4 times a week. We train for one-two hours a day, and that doesn't include sparring and drills once a week, and that does NOT include the miles and miles of roadwork outside of the gym that we are required to do. |
|
|
Thought it seemed too easy xD 3 hours working out a week seemed too good to be true |

I mean if you're just doing it for fitness like some of our students, they're only in three times a week for an hour at a time. But if you want to compete, it takes more than "3 hours a week". For every hour YOU spend, there's always an opponent spending 2. Just keep that in mind. I'm in there as often as I can. I bike everywhere across town, several miles a day, to get my stamina up and my roadwork in. |

I don't do it competitively.
