i think this is the first album she's done where i can really feel the artistry behind it. like, simply by listening to it you can tell this meant a lot to her while creating it. BEYONCE was a step in the right direction, but this album doesn't have one moment in it thats not genuine. Lobstery, God of Infinite Wisdom and Cruelty, King of the Pop Fans

I'm not one of those people who believes you have to write music for it to mean a lot to you, so that doesn't really bother me. Lobstery, God of Infinite Wisdom and Cruelty, King of the Pop Fans

True, but you called it "artistry". To be an artist is to create.

I called it artistry because it is artistry. She doesn't have to write the entire album to be able to show her artistry when recording it. It comes through in more elements than just one. "Sandcastles", for example, is a major high point for me. I don't think that song would've effected me as much if anyone else was singing it in any other way. Beyonce brought something to it, she brought it to life. She made it a work of art. Lobstery, God of Infinite Wisdom and Cruelty, King of the Pop Fans

Actually now I'm curious, how did it effect you?

I'm not going to lie I teared up a bit and got the shivers. That might not seem like much, but music usually doesn't ,pie me like that. I love a lot of songs but very few of them are actually able to make me physically react to them. It's only happened with about 3 songs, and the other 2 songs it's happened with were from John Darnielle. Lobstery, God of Infinite Wisdom and Cruelty, King of the Pop Fans

I definitely know that feeling, I'm kind of moody. And I agree she does have a voice that makes ballads sound very good. So, I'm guessing these lyrics relate to something that's going on in your life right now.

Oddly enough, no. Which is what's weird about it. With the two other songs, I strongly identified with the message the lyrics were sending, and that's why they got to me, but not with this one. I think it might be because sometimes when I'm listening to music I think of myself as a different person. Lime the person they're singing about in the songs. I personally don't relate to anything in Sandcastles, but when she sings it for some reason I feel like I do. Lobstery, God of Infinite Wisdom and Cruelty, King of the Pop Fans
