Hey everybody, I'm sure this gets posted a lot so I'm sorry about just another annoying thread, but I'm looking to go all in learning LUA. I know Java, and I can work my way around C++ and C#. I'm a math geek as well, just finishing up Calc II right now. My question is: for someone like me, how would you recommend learning LUA? The wiki has proven ineffective for me, because it is just re-teaching basic programming concepts when I'm more interested in how it works with game objects and services and the proper syntax. Thanks!

When i started scripting, i learned everything off free models. It is really easy to understand if you can see what the script does ingame, then afterwards read the script and understand it!

The cookbook which deals a lot more with the ROBLOX framework on the wiki ... might help you. http://wiki.roblox.com/index.php?title=Cookbook

I learned with a combination of the wiki, free models, and the forum.

I'd suggest looking up some tutorials on YouTube, there's at least a few Robloxians with good tutorial series. PeasFactory is one of them I believe.

The wiki cookbook is the best thing in the world. Put me deep into coding in a few days...
