Hello!
Or, maybe I should start saying goodbye. So, HLS has been one of the greatest undertakings of my entire time on Roblox, this last six months have been long, tiring, but still fun. I’ve had the pleasure of working, playing, and speaking with some of the most wonderful people. That’s not to say I haven’t been without opposition, or enemies, I’ve made those too. I’m glad I could have this experience again with so many new friends, and continue a legacy with old ones. It’s with a heavy heart, and a reluctant smile that myself and my Deputy Secretary Myuo have decided to resign on the 30th of May.
So how did Myuo and I reach this decision? Well if you know Myuo, you’d know he’s been pining to leave since he hit the “Join Group” button. That’s not to say he resents you, he just wants more from his life, but deep down, we all know he liked it a little. I realized it was time. My VP nomination was an absolute honor, I’m pleased to have just been considered, and although I failed the house, I understand why. When I failed, I was disappointed, and it made the week all the more difficult to balance the last week of testing, and my duties to the Department. By the end of today I realized just how exhausted I was, how exhausted I’ve been. I’m tired, I’ve been tired, I’ve given 100% to Homeland Security, not because I wanted a legacy, but because I felt I owed to everyone who gave me a chance. Sudden for finding me on the streets of DC, years ago. EmporerJ, who put his faith in me to be his DEPSECHLS, when we had only just met. Myuo, for being my best friend, the person I can alway count on to keep pushing me forward, or steer me away from the rocks. Above all though, I owed it to HLS to leave them with something they could carry on with after I left. I think with the help of all my friends, loyal employees, and the strong DHS community we’ve created that.
Our labor paid off, we stuck to it, we maintained our reputation. I couldn’t be more proud of what we’ve all created together, nor could I be more humbled to see how much effort everyone was willing to put in. Without all of the amazing people in DHS, DHS would be nothing, and I’m astonished to wake up each day to see how much of a something DHS has become. I hope you’ve all taken away the positives of what Myuo and I have taught you, we sometimes find it hard to be positive! Be kind, be truthful, be forward. You play with people, not just the pixilated plastic. Make more friends than you’ve made enemies. Lastly, be proud of yourself, and have fun, this is a game after all.
We’ve had a lot of good times, hard times, and… for lack of a nicer word… interesting times. We’ve all been tolerant and supportive of each other, and worked hard to make our community thrive. Homeland Security has become one of the most tight knit communities in all of nUSA, and while we have our faults, we make each other stronger. I hope this trend continues long after I’ve left. I’ll be vetting a few possibilities for our replacement, and whoever they may be will be deserving, kind hearted, and possess a healthy work ethic.

These will be times that I won’t miss, so don’t blame me if I don’t come through. I’ve spent a lifetime on this, but I would give it up for you. I know that you’re scared of the notion, that we’ll become who we’re meant to be. Become who you’re meant to be HLS. Thank you.
