I have a complaint about the audio on roblox
So iv'e been working on something for a game but it's not completed....
Why?
Because of the audio
It costs robux to upload audio
I think that's unfair because it limits my imagination but like roblox said
"The only limit is your imagination"

you see audio limits my imagination
I have audio recorded but not uploaded ,why?
Oh because i can't afford Robux
I think this is a problem because why would you pay robux or audio?
Some people can't afford robux like me and i really want to make games or at least try
But i can't do this due to audio having to be payed to upload it
I mean can you imagine games without audio?
what if you made an fps and all you heard is nothing
that would be pretty boring and not exciting
The only way i can get audio is by getting it from the library
well you see i have my own sounds not from other popular games
and most of the audio doesn't fit in with my game
I don't know if any other people agree with me but this is my opinion ok
please reply to this with your thoughts i want to see how people react to this
again this is just an opinion so don't be mad or anything like that |

Imagine how much moderation this would take. When I uploaded audio, it took around ten hours to moderate. You might as well go try inventing cryogenic sleep to wait for your audio to upload if loads upon loads of people were to go around trying to upload every song they like. Not to mention that there are already too many people brave enough to spend R$ on trying to pass anything inappropriate in the hope some slips up (some does), if it was free you'll end up with any old alt being able to do it on a large scale.
I would advise using placeholder sounds and having in the game donation-for-audio-costs game passes or developer products. Remember that pitch and volume can be modified in order to make a sound fit better, I've done that when making a gun for someone else. In fact making that gun for someone else (on Game Design) was part of what gave me R$ to buy audio in the first place, with the person paying via group payouts.
I think however audio uploading should have a cost depending on its length, with a set minimum price and a maximum length of 2 minutes. |

I think it should depend on how long your audio is. It should be like 20-25 robux for every minute. |

Free is a terrible idea. The moderation would be off the hook. It already takes forever to moderate the music because, it takes around 2 minutes for each so lowering the price might work but, not that much.
Maybe 50 robux for 2 minutes. More reasonable than the current one and definitely more reasonable than free.

But, other people will. It will be on the site for everyone to listen to. It doesn't matter if you don't listen to it again other people will not upload it since someone already did.
It's a loss of profit and that's really the main point to not doing this.

Ummm.. that's the whole reason for free audio? why do you have to wait time just for someone to upload a single audio for 100 robux, why beg someone to upload a audio for 100 robux? and this is why people can't upload satisfying audio that they want which is could fit for their games?
I got this tank reload audio and I only have like 19 robux ever I converted tix to robux, imagine how hard with just 19 robux in your wallet trying to spend something that will drain it?
audio is content, decals are content, only you get to upload pictures and possibilities are endless to upload whilst you got a limited catalog page named 'audio', in other words, audio should really be like decals, models.

I doubt someone would make a alt for an audio just for swearing, Roblox is planning on adding meshes and "I believe" that they're somewhat using a email verification for this, this would likely to happen to audio for this in the future, but we would see. |

They should definitely make it cheaper. To avoid the price I just upload a bunch of audios into one file and split them using a script

I like the idea. NBC has much potential but it gets squashed under robux. Maybe to make sure there isn't a wave of moderation, you have to be a member of the devforum to upload audio free. |
