You can only comment on something you own.
You can view comments on what you don't own, but not comment.
That would fix the traders. They can only comment on the stuff they own. A lot less.
That would fix alts spamming, because they own nothing.
And wouldn't it just be cool if you could go to a dominus and see what the 26 owners have to say?

you could also have a system where users can comment freely on items, but they'd have to sign up and if they do things like spam or beg for trades they get booted out
although, that would take a lot of effort, and even with reporting them to mods, a lot would probably fall through anyway

This will make traders only be able to spam on what they own. And if they own it, it is actually relevant to the trading

Support. I think that we should also do what someone said above. Have the ability to comment on things but, you have to have a good track record and if any spamming occurs they boot you and remove all the comments you posted.

Have to agree. I was thinking about getting back builder's club during the Summer, but now I'm rethinking just because I don't think I'll be able to trade without comments. I think it's a nice filtering system that would do a mediocre job.

Your idea might work but since Shaggy has gone limited, the old spam alts would spam in the comments. Anyways it seems like a good idea to do so.
