Messages failing to send

I am having this problem where when ever I message someone it says, Failed to send or something like that. I tested it with one of my friends and I was able to message them. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Most likely you are not able to message the user, his privacy settings does not allow you to.

The message was an application for a group and the person I tried messaging even said to send them applications for that group.

Check the user's profile and see if you are able to click the Message button.

I was able to press the message button. It is just that whenever I press the send button it says it failed to be sent to the person. I am sure it is not the privacy settings.

It could be some of the words you are using in your message are not allowed.
