For days now, I have had some tremendous issues with the new chat system ROBLOX uses, "Community Sift".
First of all, it blocks ANY links. Even ROBLOX links.
Second of all, I changed one word on my groups description ("Lambda" -> "Complex") and it hashtagged everything, making me have to re-type it all.
Ive also had random words such as "Unique" and "Acceptance" be blocked.
The system they use is terrible, and it needs to be removed. So many other posts about this are popping up as well. That's a sign, ROBLOX...
Anyways, according to some other sources the Community Sift filter does not run off of a blacklist, but a whitelist. This means ONLY the words they put in a list can be said. If they have not put the word "Onion" in the whitelist, you cannot say it. This is a terrible way of making a chat filter. Making a blacklist (select words cannot be said) is much easier, and works better overall.
This is becoming a huge issue in areas such as: Group Walls, Group Descriptions, Website Chat, and In-Game Chat.
This is getting extremely annoying for some people, including me. Please remove this "Community Sift" and return to the old Blacklisting system that actually worked well. |
