Utopolian Times
A War On JUSTICE?
Jesse Romero, Published April 19th, 1977
Holy Smokes, Utopolis, what a day this has been! What started off as an seemingly ordinary bank robbery led to a week-long stand-off between JUSTICE and followers of VILE! JUSTICE and VILE brawled for supremacy all across the city, as civilians were warned to retreat to their homes in order to avoid being swept up in the middle of it.
Eventually various battles were put to an end, when leader of JUSTICE, Temporal Lass, was called back from an out of country affair. Assisted by the law enforcement of Utopolis, Temporal Lass quickly put an end to the stalemate, and in the aftermath, more than twenty villains were hauled off to the empowered detention center located just outside of the city.
But that's not all! Not two hours later, a source indicated that the fearful leader of VILE, General Mamba, announced that VILE was officially declaring war on JUSTICE. "No longer will we hold back," the man himself vowed, "JUSTICE will fall!" Dark times are predicted ahead, and trouble is sure to follow. What will be the fate of Utopolis?

Justice Unifies Strength Together In Cities Enterprise
An organization for aspiring do-gooders, JUSTICE is a superhero group, standing up against the villains of the world. Overseen by founder Temporal Lass, JUSTICE gratefully accepts applicants from all walks of life. They strive to help youth learn, and control their budding abilities. At the end of the day, their goal has always been to protect the world from harm.
JUSTICE's base lies in the center of Utopolis, in a shining, state-of-the-art skyscraper constructed soon after it's founding. The control centre is equipped with a wide manner of technology, mainly for defensive use. While the main JUSTICE team consists of twelve well-known heroes, there are numerous sub-branches, lesser-known heroes who head out daily to up their reputation and help out around the city.
The VILE
The Villainous Illegallally Lawless Establishment.
They came from the shadows. Right out of the 60's. With villains that make the public want to stay away from them. Also with technology that ups them ahead of JUSTICE's. And a fearful leader that plots to overtake the world's countries and merge them into his dream empire. They are: The VILE!
Hidden underground several blocks away from the JUSTICE headquarters and under an obscure, and abandoned, convenience store, they are a mess of villainous elementals that cause nothing but trouble. Some of its members are on numerous wanted lists for their most prominent crimes. Their goal is to cause many troubles among the world, especially Utopolis, and overtake properties, as well as terrorize. They are the complete opposite of the ideal role model, too.

Temporal Lass
A widely-honored female, she is among those responsible for the founding of JUSTICE. She is an elemental, better classed as a manipulator of time. This woman is perhaps best recognized by her costume, a skintight purple and white spandex suit that shows off her curves. From what can be discerned, Temporal Lass is of Hispanic origin, with long, curly brown hair that reaches mid-waist, sparkling amber eyes, and smooth, tanned skin. Age could be anywhere from twenty to thirty, and with her abilities, even that guess is a fickle one. Civilian identity unknown.
General Mamba
An infamous criminal emerging from 1945, Mamba disappeared at the age of 19, and reappeared suddenly at the age of 30. During the duration of the supposed "disappearance", he had secretly founded The VILE, and contracted many black-hat engineers, strategists and scientists to come up with new technology and ways.
His trademark look is nothing more than black curled-back hair, semi-pale skin tone, red eyes, a black-and-red mask, a black suit with a black tie and red long-sleeved polo shirt, black gloves, black pants, and black leather shoes. To this day, he has been among the top of wanted lists, even with his actual identity unknown, as police and military forces had long struggled to discover him, as almost no traces of his real self could be found.

i. As usual, no godmodding, metagaming, powerplaying, etc.
ii. Don't be an idiot. Use common sense, preferably. If an admin sees something that doesn't make sense, we'll call you out on it.
iii. There will be no duplicate powers. Once someone has taken a power - NPC or not - that ability can not be utilized by another user. If two users join who have similar powers, and the first is dissatisfied, then that user should bring their concerns to the moderators privately. However, you can make reservations. These will last twenty-four hours, unless a extension is requested before the limit is up.
iv. Like Snakehunt would say, "If it's a hug, you might get bugged, if it's a kiss, you might want to miss, but if it gets hot, definitely not." In other words, cheesy
v. Obviously, we creators can't think of everything on the spot. Over time, it's possible the rules will be amended, new additions added. Please be courteous when that happens. 'It's not in the rules!' isn't an excuse.
vi. This RP takes place in an exaggerated version of the 70s for an feel.
vii. Three powers is the limit per person. Try to give each abilities ups and downs. Preferably, one broad power, such as a manipulation, per user.
viii. Anyone credited are automatically admins.

Occupation: Being a villain is an occupation.... Right?
Appearance: Jokyr is a man of thin stature, standing at 6'8 height which somewhat gives him a 'creepy' feeling. You can't see his face due to the white hood and the white half of a mask that he uses to hide it and despite the mask only covering half of his face, the other half is dark, obscured by the hood. He wears a white lab coat, obviously where the hood belongs to, a black shirt with long sleeves underneath, black leather gloves, black belt, black jeans and a pair of black boots. Go ahead and call him edgy.
Personality: He's called cruel by most people that fought him before. Maybe because he used to torture those said people. Some call him a lunatic for his methods and experiments.... Or personality. Others say that he's a mysterious man and they're right. And then there's those who say that he's not human.... I'm not exactly sure about this one.
History: Nothing is known about him. But some heroes came up with theories regarding the fact that he doesn't shows his face and why he got an abnormal stature and height.
Other:
Alias: He didn't give himself an Alias but people decided to call him 'Shattered Evil'.
Power[s]: He has the power to manipulate science, anything related to science to be exact. But this power has a limit due to his body and if he tries to surpass that limit he will be given a new form, but when that new form runs out he will be knocked out unsconcious. The time that he's knocked out unsconcious depends on how long he used that form of his. Without breaking/surpassing the limit the only thing that he can do with this power is open small portals, change the shape of objects and create things from thin air.
Supersuit: His usual clothes. Does he even switchs them? Probably not.
Catchphrase: "Bones.... Blood.... Body.... Eye. Be ready to see all of those come out of your body in no chronogical order."

Origin story is how the power was obtained, the events leading up to it's manifestation. I've noticed that sometimes in Superhero roleplays, the writer doesn't include how their character obtained the power. |

Yea. You can include the effect your powers have had on your character's past in your history too. But the origin story is more like.. the event/thing/moment the power first manifested or was gained.

(I know that this character seems like a bit of a mary-sue, but if you read old comics you'll find all sorts of people who are almost this bad, and this is a parody of comics anyway so it should be fine.)

Appearance: Extraordinarily attractive without any physical blemishes because silver age comics. He is your standard muscular-but-not-too-muscular brown hair blue eyes guy but you wouldn't know his haircolour by his costume. Also he's white because everyone in Silver Age comics was white unless they were actively trying to make a statement about race.
Personality: Literally the best.
History: Smith was born into an average middle-class family and was extremely gifted at school, becoming a PhD student at the age of 18. After his parents were killed by the evil General Mamba he decided to use his superior intellect to fight crime and to build gadgets to fight crime.

Name: Clint Morales
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Male
Occupation: Freshman in High School - Hero
Appearance: Clint Morales has short brown hair, peach skin, blue eyes, and a perfect smile...or does he? Using a watch explained in 'Other', Clint really looks entirely different. His hair is long and black (with blue highlights) and his skin color is silver, like metal. In fact, his skin is metal. A strong metal called Titanium. Finally, his eyes shine in a yellow tone.
When not in his Supersuit, Clint often wears a pair of blue jeans and black converse. Above those is a light gray with very short, hardly any, sleeves. On top of the shirt is a ski jacket. The lower half of the jacket below his arms have a sandy peach tone and the half above including the sleeves are maroon.
Also, just to add on to his appearance, Clint will often wear aviator shades.
Personality: Clint acts like the popular kid at his school, but when he's metal, he often stutters and asks a lot of questions. When he isn't confused, he usually will make smart remarks or jokes about the cheesiness of the grown up spandex heroes.
History: Clint was born in Utopolis and lived there his whole life. Being so, he's sort of had the same friends throughout his life. From Preschool to his freshman year, Clint has always had a way with making friends and being presumably cool. That's really all to Clint's life, besides him living in an urban neighborhood with his mother and father.
Other: Clint wears a thick silver watch on his left arm which if he slams his palm on the red button located in the center, it will return him to his normal metal form. Anyone who knows who Clint is in metal form still don't know where he got that watch from, they just know it works, boom.
He has a watch.
Alias: Clint has thought of 'Titanium Teleporter' but he feels it's too long. He will often go with 'Traveler'. Titanium Teleporter will most likely be like 'The Star Spangled Man' of Captain America. Something you'd here in an announcement, like 'The Titanium Teleporter, he is...Traveler!'. Something like that.
Power[s]: Clint has three abilities; adhesive climbing, super strength, and teleportation.
With his adhesive climbing, Clint can 'wallcrawl', or climb walls unassisted. This ability is based around the tips of his fingers and the tips of his toes, which of course, is where he connects himself onto the wall to climb, obviously.
Clint's super strength allows him to smash a brick with his bare hand. He can use it to pack a punch, but unfortunately, he has hardly gotten into the use of this ability, meaning most of his punches are exactly 'super strong'.
Finally, probably the power he relies on the most, Clint is able to teleport from one place to another...hence the name Teleportation. As said before, he relies on this ability the most because it has different uses, like from getting from place to place or to confuse the heck out of his enemy.
Supersuit: If you remember from above, Clint makes fun of the cheesy spandex costumes and names, so first off, he doesn't wear those...yet.
For now, he wears his ski jacket, but unzipped and under the jacket is a different gray shirt, this time with long sleeves. He wears a brown utility belt over his unzipped jacket and shirt to make sure his opened jacket doesn't get in the way of fighting.
Going further down, Clint wears shiny blue jeans, shinier than the other pair, tucked into a pair of brown boots. Clint likes to surprise his enemy so he will often wear black winter gloves on to hide his titanium fist.
On his back is a brown backpack which will often be empty except for his converse. It's kept empty so he can put his boots, gloves, and belt somewhere. Finally, he keeps his head visible for the enemy. I mean, it's not like he looks like that in public.
Catchphrase: Considering he's a new hero, he hasn't had the time to think of one
Affiliation: Will join JUSTICE eventually
Origin Story: Only three months ago, Clint was kidnapped along with four other teens by a criminal organization, assumedly VILE. They experimented on the five kids, then left the kids in a dark alleyway two days later with mutations all over their bodies, like extra limbs or prehensile tails.
Clint however, was the least effected. Instead of a sixth finger or a missing foot, his body remained intact, but instead his skin was made from titanium and his hair had grown long and black with blue highlights. His eyes were entirely yellow and he seemed to get skinnier.
Somehow, before returning back home, Clint had found a silver watch which had switched him between appearances by the smash of the red button. How he got it? Who knows! Spandex! One liners! Cheesy Names! Obvious Alter Egos! |
