Yesterday, I had a tough day so I avoided the internet as a whole. Anyways, here are my thoughts on the USA's 2-1 win over Ecuador.
-Textbook USA win: They barrelled down, played good D and shut down Ecuador when they needed to. They need wins like this.
-There's a chance: There is a chance that the US can defeat the winner of ARG/VEN. They looked like they had the attacking prowess today and even though we are losing Jones, Wood and Bedoya, we can still win if we replicate the game.
-Question marks: No Wood, Jones, Bedoya. Who's the replacements? Is it Pulisic, Nagbe and Beckerman or is it Zusi, Beckerman, Pulisic/Nagbe? Question marks coming into the final game.
-Everything from now is icing on the cake: You know what? I didn't expect the USA to escape the group stages but they did. The first win is great, lets get more.
