What does ERP'ing mean?

So I asked my old friend, Jimmy Falon what ERP'ing is and he told me that it is an annotation for Epic Role Playing. I thought being epic would be cool so I went onto some games and asked people if they wanted to ERP and they told everyone to report me. After a few days from being banned, I thought they all were just playing some prank. So I went to a different game and asked different people if they wanted to ERP, but they just ran away and now I don't have friends. :( So anyone want to ERP with me?
