Oh, and create a super weapon that can launch nova-scale bursts at will. Taking an hour to recharge, of course, because super-villains always give their opponents at least a small chance of success. |

I'll control the government by training politicians and releasing them into the world. They'll become presidents, prime ministers, and premiers. When enough are in place, they'll defer all authority to me. All countries not under my total control will either be ignored or invaded. |

Hollowed out underwater mountain.
Former politicians come and "assist."
When they're finished "donating" every bit of their political knowledge and secret information, their memories will be wiped and they will be returned to the real world.
If someone's memory wipe fails, then who cares. They'll say I'm training government politicians in a mountain under the surface of the ocean. I'm sure they'll take action.
The political knowledge and secrets will be compacted and given to the politicians-in-training. |

Excuse me, I wasn't done yet. Implanted in the knowledge is the urge and thought that our current politicians are hopeless and thusly must be gotten rid of. The people get an overwhelming urge to attempt to take over, likely through politics. When the training is complete, THEY get wiped TOO. The only thing remaining from their time in training is the little care packages left behind. When they are asked by me (and only me) to relinquish power, they cannot help but do so, for they will suddenly feel inadequate, and know that I can do a far better job than they. |
