In no particular order: Porto Marseille Southampton Ajax Valencia These clubs have lose their top players year after year, but they stay relevant in their leagues because they are able to easily replace them with players who are just as good. and the cycle continues.

Southampton has only been good for like 3 years lol Marseille isn't nearly as good as they used to be, Porto and Benfica have a monopoly on the Portuguese league, Valencia are middling The only right club you have on here is Ajax...

"shakhtar" signing massive amounts of young brazilians isn't an overall scouting network all the teams in europe (especially in eastern europe) do that

@scar agree with juventus, barcelona, and ajax but imo i'd put atletico and shakhtar over chelsea and salzburg

shakhtar have an excellent scouting network in Brazil and Ukraine but that's it. Salzburg go the distance scouting players from all over Europe, and Chelsea have a much larger scouting network than Atletico and Shakhtar combined.

@book it doesn't really matter if its from one country if the many players go on to become key players for top clubs. just look at willian, douglas costa, and fernandinho, plus wellington nem, taison, and alex teixeira (he screwed up big time though)

"it doesn't really matter if its from one country if the many players go on to become key players for top clubs. just look at willian, douglas costa, and fernandinho, plus wellington nem, taison, and alex teixeira (he screwed up big time though)" didn't want it to sound like there isn't actual talent in the scouting staff there, but overall scouting network to me is when they have found multiple very good players in multiple countries (besides domestic), and it seems like shaktar have only found good players in brazil

i'd take success rate over size any day plus chelsea and rb salzburg have more money to burn

@book 1. its easier for them to get a work permit 2. their chief scout has consistent success with south american players dating all the way back to porto, so why change something that works?

#192314080Wednesday, June 29, 2016 3:02 AM GMT

also they win the league or get second place every single year, they always have european football, so money isn't an issue on that part either

#192314131Wednesday, June 29, 2016 3:03 AM GMT

i didn't say they need to change anything, but they don't make my list for overall scouting network because of that

Porto - You know how many hidden gems theyve signed from South America? They get so many quality players from Brazil since they have a deep scouting network there Marseille - Their academy is run very well and they sign lots of uknown young European talent and turn them into stars Southampton - Year after year their top players are sold (not even gonna begin naming them) Even their good managers move on, but I gaurantee you they will still finnish top 7 next season in the Prem. They are very good at replacing players. Ajax - no need to explain Valencia - Maybe to only controversial team here, but its mainly Gary Neville's fault that they did poorly last season anyways I dont get how that was a terrible list lmao. If you actually sat and thought about it, you would understand.

Sorry but not putting Chelsea on a top 5 list for scouting network is a joke and I can't take the list seriously.

Only teams I would add are Shakhtar and Chelsea. Forgot about all the Brazilians signed by Shakhtar

salzburg and shakhtar probably have similar incomes (can't find anything for either) but there's a ridiculous difference between both of their transfer records (714k vs 96 mil)
