"Is there an actual plot or is it just violence and nudity for no reason" The plot of the show is based on a VERY complicated an articulate book series A Song of Ice and Fire.

There's a plot and it constantly keeps changing because of the politics and love interests of the characters.

4 was pretty good. 5 was ok if you take out everything that happened in Dorne.

although all the plots mean nothing in the grand scheme of things because of the the walking dead plot hanging out up north.

"4 was pretty good. 5 was ok if you take out everything that happened in Dorne." the books were complete ass (4 and 5). there's a reason the show tried to change things.

the books 4 and 5 were pretty much for character building. i was a bit bored when i read it. however the show was still exciting enough to be alright imo for those seasons.

"Somebody give me a rundown of the plot" Here's the best I can come up with without any spoilers: - Bunch of noble families in different situations fighting eachother - Western continent (Westeros) has several kingdoms which are all ruled by a monarch + there's the Iron Throne which basically controls all of those kingdoms unless they rebel. Far northern part of the continent is blocked off by a huge Trump Wall that is manned by an army in charge of keeping the wildlings (people living in the far north) away - Eastern continent (Essos) is a huge clusterfuc of cities/nomads/monsters and all kinds of amazing random crap happens there - Violence and hawtness everywhere

If you know the game Crusader Kings 2 (you probably don't, it's an absolutely amazing grand strategy game based on the medieval age) it's basically all the jaw-dropping possibilities from that in a fictional universe. It's such a good comparison that one of the most popular mods for CK2 is a Game of Thrones mod, and it's considered to be a better "game" than any actual games based on Game of Thrones.

I don't think I should bother explaining CK2 to you because I could go on and on and type a forum post for literally over an hour about it if I wanted to explain it in great detail. Let's just say that I often like to call it "Ra‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎‎pe And Murder Simulator" because that's literally a way to succeed in the game, even when there's much more to it than that.
