Masteries and runes give u buffs like dmg buffs, mag/phys resist etc.
They are pretty much vital for getting ahead in lanes, because if u dont have them the other team will just bully you out of farm etc. and will snowball like sht off of you

Yes always get as much runes/masteries
But make sure they fit ur role style
If u like ADC or assasin jungles/mid then get a lot of AD runes and focus on dmg masteries
If you like tanky top players then go for a lot of phys/mag resist runes and endurance masteries
if u like mage then get magick runes and masteries
always make sure u have multiple masterie and rune pages so you can customize for each match.

yes because if one match you play something like vayne ADC and u have a lot of AD runes/masteries, but then the next match u play like veigar mid, you need to swap to magic runes and masteries etc.

you don't have to change runes for every champ, get one page for AP and one for AD. just get the basic runes like armor yellows, ad/ap quints etc that should be enough for you to climb up to plat. |

get runes and masteries for every role
there is nothing worse than that one kid who can ONLY play one role, and when he actually has to play a diff role hes garbage because he isnt prepared at all

masteries are the confusing part, some champs would take 18-12-0 instead of 12-18-0. so just go to champion.gg or probuilds and copy their masteries I guess

well there are diff types of ADC's
Like if you main vayne who is just focus on raw physical damage then get a lot of runes and masteries focused for that
but if vayne is banned, and your only back up is someone like corki who focuses on magic dmg a bit, have a run and masterie page set for that too
