trump was democratically elected via the primaries process, you can argue against hillary's super delegate issues. if they were both lunatics, they wouldn't have been elected as their party candidates.
and yes, your healthcare is severely broken. due to its socialized dominance and no free market competition, it has no incentive to improve on any of its issues, such as waiting times. you're stuck with it, and it will NEVER improve.
the US has the top universities in the world and many canadians come to the US for college, bottom line.

why does canada have the 2nd most expensive healthcare, in terms of share of the economy, among oecd countries with social healtcare
why did canadian wait times average 4 and a half months in 2013, double the times of the 90s
how come countries like Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Luxembourg, Korea, the Netherlands, and Switzerland with universal access don't report any wait time issues?
maybe if there was free market competition that solved waiting time issues that cost the canadian government an average of $1,200 per patient, the government would actually improve their healthcare and put it on par with the rest of the countries that have the same system
the fact that the government intervention is actually causing tens of thousands of women alone to die in recent years is almost laughable, if it wasn't so tragic

the us pays more than any other country in the world for its yearly per capita health care ($8233) and is rated as the 37th best system
canada pays the fifth most ($4445) and is rated 30
the us health care system is crap and canada's is much better

the american dream is the top 1% owning more than half of the us's money
as well as your politics being run by lobbyists (people who want to benefit their business through loose laws, and pay politicians, so they can run their campaigns, to grant them these loose laws) who can pay for politicians' campaigns

the reason the US spends more is because more people are employed and paid more, administrative costs are about a quarter of the spending while the next up is about 10-15%
canada spends a fraction of that because they use less people, but then you have wait time issues so it's a pick your poison scenario
also canada spends 11.2% of its budget on healthcare, while america spends 6%
you didn't account for the fact that america's room to spend is significantly higher than canada's due to our economy. |
