Here's all of the things that grocery store workers absolutely loathe.
Maybe now that you've read this and you have this in your mind, the people who check and bag your groceries won't secretly hate you
1. People who bring their own bags to the store. I don't care if you're the biggest tree hugger in the world, you just made the bagger's job 5x harder
2. People that pick up heavy ass items like a 24-can box of soda or a 24 pack of water. LEAVE IT ON THE CART. Because the bagger is going to have to bend down and put it back anyway, and he can just scan it and put a sticker on it
3. People that pick up an item, and then decide 10 minutes later that they don't want it, and put it down on the opposite side of the store where they found it. Thanks a hole, somebody has to find that and put it back where it belongs.
4. PEOPLE THAT HAND THE CASHIER COUPONS AFTER THE CASHIER HAS ALREADY SCANNED ALL OF YOUR ITEMS!!!!!!!!!! THEY HAVE TO CANCEL EVERYTHING, AND DISCARD YOUR ENTIRE ORDER. THEY HAVE TO CALL THEIR MANAGER AND IT TAKES 5 MINUTES TO UNDO ALL OF THIS. THIS MAKES THE PEOPLE BEHIND YOU ANGRY, AND IT MAKES THE CASHIER ANGRY BECAUSE YOU JUST BACKED UP HIS LINE.
5. When you get a cart that's obviously too small for all of your groceries or you get the stupid little kid racecar shaped cart and then you can't fit all of your groceries on there just because you couldn't tell your kid no |

wtf? every store i've been to scans the coupons at the very end anyways |

They scan it at the end but they've already entered the discount in the computer along with the item
They can't do that if you're just like, "oh by the way, I have a coupon for those chips that you already scanned, bagged, and put in my cart" |

i was put on register for a bit yesterday.
i remembered why i don't like it. |

I always see people with one kid literally put their child IN the cart, instead of the little seat in the back. |

when people bring their own bag, i rarely bag it for them. i leave the bag next to the scanned items on a table next to my register. i act busy so it makes them feel that they need to bag it themselves since it's their own bag. |

In some stores where I live you have to bring your own bag. Otherwise you have to pay for the plastic bags.
And whenever anybody in my family brings their own bag we bring one of those huge Ikea bags where it's easy to put stuff in. |
