Chris Paul was involved in a three-way trade deal with Hornets, etc. If the NBA doesn't seem the trade to be reasonable, they can decline it.
Kevin Durant, however, is a free agent and there is no team he was currently in.
Soooo yeah the NBA can't block free agents going to another team.

Yes exactly, he was in a TEAM and the team I believe was Pelicans/Hornets. Kevin Durant wasn't in any team therefore allowing him to go to any team.

dang nice. You must also be happy on the signing of Kevin Durant.
Hopefully the bench departure will not affect us when our starters are rested as we have David West which is a good back up center, Shaun Livingston which is completely underrated, and Andre Iguodala who is just a versatile player with high defensive skills, etc.
