every year, the king will set up a tournament for the villagers. the villagers would stare at the small piece of parchment stuck to the wall. with a prize of loads of gold, many were tempted but they would not enter.
this tournament had a especially bad reputation. men, centaurs, elves and orcs of all kinds could enter, but tons have died trying to win. it forced contestants to work together and sacrifice one another at the same time. consisting of 50 stages and no one has come out of the castle alive to let others know what to expect what they were facing.
nobody had entered for at least a century. this year, 20 have stepped up and entered it.
