So I've tried learning Lua many times, but it either ends with me giving up after getting nowhere or getting burnt out then forgetting everything. How did you guys learn to script?

You gotta start small and learn the basics, then gradually create things that are more difficult and will force you to utilize more difficult concepts. Start with something like a button. Then a lava brick. Then random effects to parts or people around you after an action. And so on and so forth.

I saw a couple of times: Start with scripts you can do. Then each script after, try to add a new element, slowly understanding one function after one, instead of everything RBX.Lua has to offer at the same time and feel overwhelmed. Learning coding is like learning a new language. You always start with basic concepts, like sentences, verbs, pronouns, and follow up with more complex stuff.

I first learned the basics from the Roblox Wiki Basic Scripting stuff. But then I just quit since I thought it didn't get me anywhere. Now, whenever I open a script, I am able to read and edit them. Some scripts will contain stuff I never heard of, but I just search up their function in the Roblox Wiki, and most of the time it helps me.
