First of all, I understand the forums aren't their main priority, but they should still at least try to put forth some effort in fixing it and improving it a little. They always have moderators here anyways so why can't they add some updates?
But yeah, the mods need to start working on the forums some more.
Some things I think they need to do is:
- Fix the filter. (this is first for a reason, it's very glitchy)
-- A suggestion would be to actually show the word that's breaking the rule. For example if you said the f-word it would show the actual word that's breaking the rules.
- Fix the search feature for new posts. (even though there is a workaround)
- Make the post button have a timer. (i know R+ does this but what about those who don't use R+ or my custom-made timer plugin)
- Try to add a few more subforums that would be interesting.
- Update the design a little more.
Just a few suggestions. Post more if you can think of more. |

+ Fix page stretchers and things like that.
Add more if you want.
It can also be things that are already being done with plugins.

Yeah, and I don't think you should have to have a plugin to have an automatic siggy.

ANOTHER THING THAT SHOULD BE ADDED: Post formatting, maybe with BBCode. You can literally only post plain text with no formatting or anything, and that really makes things bland.
by the way, two questions:
1. link to your custom post timer?
2. what is the workaround?

Agreed, but only if the BBCode isn't using HTML tags since that might be easily exploited.

Well I will give them credit, they did _some_ edits from about 1-2 years ago (not sure how long ago exactly) which made it look a little more modern but yeah it's still sorta outdated and we could definitely use some improvements.
