What's your opinion on Red Dirt country music also Nashville country is much more popular than Texas country. If you ask anyone outside of Texas to name a Texan country artist, the only name they will ever give you is "George Strait"

@sir Just because a song is popular doesn't make it good. That is the problem with mainstream country music these days. Red dirt and Texas country are currently the most countrysounding songs in modern day country.

But the thing is, this applies to pretty much mainstream everything, and I will admit a bit of guilt here in that I really like Darius Rucker, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Lady Antebellum, and The Band Perry (probably missing a couple more) and they are all not Texas country
