Alright I have to put something to rest: Dear Mac users. Your computer is not good. Get that through your heads. Yes, you paid 1500 dollars for it. Yes, that is a lot of money. Unfortunately for you, your computer's performance does not depend on how good you BELIEVE it to be. Here's the harsh reality - there is a very good chance - almost a certainty - that your macbook has no dedicated GPU and is using an Intel HD graphics adapter. This is not a real graphics card. This is the same processor based graphics that your average run of the mill 300 dollar laptop will have. So no, it is not ROBLOX's fault that you cannot handle ROBLOX at any graphics settings higher than 1. Your computer's hardware is literally incapable of handling anything stronger. Please, for your own sake, spend that much money on a Windows computer. It won't be as good as a custom built but it'll be MILES ahead of a Mac. And, if for whatever reason you prefer OS X to Windows, you can just buy a Windows laptop for 1000 dollars cheaper and install OS X on it. There is literally zero reason to ever buy a Macbook. (I mean, unless that glowing apple on the back is worth a thousand dollar premium...) If I managed to educate at least one person with this post and convinced them to stop getting ripped off by Apple, I'm happy.

First off roblox HAS TO update the engine from 32 bit to 64 bit = double as efficient engine . Second: The game need an real LOD system for meshes ;unions and any other kind of 3d object. 3: An advanced graphics section that allows to tweak any single graphical feature. 4:I nearly forgot to mention real multicore support is missing. 5:They basically HAVE to rewrite some parts of their current rendering ""(engine)"" because i made a game with over 9500 parts using most newest graphic features and it lags like hell even on my gaming pc which handles FO 4 on nearly max settings . 6: One of the most Important things that this engine needs is also :--> A feature called : ->No Draw surface <- So the "no draw" surface as new surface type would just make the alligned surface fully invisible which prevents the engine from rendering the surface which leads to a lower gpu memmory useage = lower lag . Now ya ask where and why to use this no draw surface ? Well lets say ya build an underground base ..so ppl walk there inside many tunnels and interriors and will Never ever be able to see the outside of the walls . But infact the outer part textures that will be never seen in this place are also getting atleast somehow loaded from the rendering engine and take up at very least a little bit gpu memmory -->SOm the "no draw" surface would remove the texture from the always unseen surfaces and will reduce the needed gpu memmory = less lag .

the whole emulator argument is invalid even my low spec windows tablet can emulate games fine it's like saying "my computer can run windows xp just fine without lag therefore i should get at least 60 fps on crysis medium settings"

Removing visuals would destroy the gameplay on roblox, users who played in fps games would not be able to see very far away and it would affect the game play in many ways. No support. Also roblox already does this, if you want to stop lagging all you have to do is lower the graphics.

Also, why not make roblox 64-bit? it can be toggled for 32-bit systems.

@OP roblox devs said no to this long time ago because it's "too confusing to new players" @ALegitFox >kid joins and installs roblox >kid enables 64bit on 32bit machine without knowing what it means, thinking there'll be less lag >kid gets mad because game doesnt work >kid quits roblox r+://449719662r+://449719756r+://449719862

there are Tons of free open source software installers that see if the user has a 32 bit or 64 bit system .

Support. Frame Rate > Graphics. I used to run roblox on graphics quality 10 at 1080p smoothly until the post fx update.

Yeah, MacBooks are not powerful computers for the insane prices they cost, but you should actually get a MacBook before you can blurt out inaccurate statistics about how well Macs run ROBLOX. My MacBook can run every single game on ROBLOX in Graphics 10 with 60 FPS. It only drops to about 30 FPS at MOST on extremely detailed EBR-type showcase builds.

Also, someone mentioned their MacBook Pro not running ROBLOX smoothly. It's either that they have an older model and/or they weren't maintaining their laptop well by downloading random and unreliable applications that create memory leaks (which ultimately make the computer run slower). I have a MacBook Pro and the performance is great on this machine.

Is a MacBook Pro rather old? Arr.

There are newer (and expensive) MacBook Pro models out. I reiterated that I'm AWARE how freaking expensive Macs are. Yeah, I know it's not worth it for the price, blah blah blah. I just like the overall appearance, build and feel of them.

You know that you can just make a program that detects if a machine is 32 or 64 bit and then auto install the correct version right? Anyway support. Yeah.
