So, ever had that friend in ROBLOX that you wanted to join, but the server is full in the game? (This happens so many times in popular games.) Now, you can see what they're doing, with with the Spectate mode.
What the Spectate mode does, is when the game has already loaded, but the server is still full, you can click on the button to enter spectate mode. After you click it, you can press W A S D to move forwards, backwards, left and right.
Q and E to move up and down.
You can press space to change modes.
The first mode is the free move mode, which you can move your own camera.
The second one is the 3rd Person spectate mode, where the camera follows a random person.
You can switch to other players using the A or D keys.
The third mode is the 1st person mode. It's like the 2nd one, but in first person.
Now, in some games, like, Traitor Town, Phantom Forces, etc, you can ghost your own teammates in spectate mode. I think there should be a script or a configuration when making the game, you can disable the spectate mode, and wait for it to load.
In a popular game, many other players also are waiting to join their friends. That could be easily fixed with a "first come first serve" list, For example, if I, (chromix12)
joined and waited first, after a person leaves, I would join first, but you, who came second, would have to wait for another person to leave. (Note : Spectator mode only works when most of the game loads, so you can see other stuff without that gross, non-decaled grey stuff you see when the game isn't done loading. So if you have a fast computer, and if I had a slow one, if yours loads first, and you click on the spectate button, you would be first on the list, but I would be second.)
There could also be some minigames, but I could leave that to the ROBLOX Moderators or Developers to make or not.
That's all I wanted to say, sorry for the long post.
I hope you agree with me.
