Lets be honest, Ted Cruz never had a chance to be president anyways. But I love how Trump was the only one to not take the pledge at the first republican debate and now he has other butthurt republicans like Ted Cruz not committing to the pledge.

Oh now but Ted Cruz's political career actually is not over lol. He's already preparing for a nightmare Election Day (given the things that come out of Trump's mouth fed to him by both his advisers and that noggin of his), where the Democrats take back the Senate and win the White House, so he can come back and defeat Hillary in 2020. There's numerous prominent Republicans and Republican Congressmen in this Never Trump movement, including the Bush family, John Kasich, Jeff Flake, Justin Amash, Ben Sasse, Susana Martinez, Mark Kirk, etc.

I mean the only thing the Democratic party needs to do to ensure rly political domination is win this election.

Did you really leave out Mitt Romney, the most important one? And tbh, if Trump never ran the nominee would be Cruz for sure

Ehhh. It probably woulda been Rubio

I mean yes, but there's *plenty* of political conservatives in this country that the Republican Party could make a comeback as early as 2020 if the Democrats take the White House and Senate

I mean the upcoming election decides the next couple of decades for the Supreme court so

"Did you really leave out Mitt Romney, the most important one?" Not really sure if Mitt Romney is the most important one, given Bush 41 and 43 are against Trump, but yes I did leave out Mitt Romney so you're right. My bad. Include Mitt Romney @ my original post "And tbh, if Trump never ran the nominee would be Cruz for sure" No. Would've been Marco Rubio or Jeb Bush lol

I feel like everyone forgets about the Supreme Court lol.. I don't like Hillary, but I'm voting for her come November just to assure that six out of nine or seven out of nine Supreme Court judges AREN'T republican

whoever wins will probably only serve 1 term just based on the amount of people saying "literally anyone else please"

"I feel like everyone forgets about the Supreme Court lol.." I think the reason people forget about it is because it's the only branch of the federal government with positions not up for election "I don't like Hillary, but I'm voting for her come November just to assure that six out of nine" That's a good reason to vote for Hillary, I don't like HRC either but I would gladly vote for her if I was 4 months older too because of this reason (and of course, there's probably 2 or 3 other reasons as well) "or seven out of nine Supreme Court judges" Do you think Ginsburg is actually going to leave lol

oh no i think whoever wins will run again just because both of these idiots are power hungry and unless one of them gets impeached i think we will just see the opposite party in office in 4 years

I mean. 2020 looks pretty bleak as well Republicans will get Kasich, Cruz, Rubio, and maybe Christie again, and probably Paul Ryan. Democrats will get Joaquin Castro and..uhhh.... (Guys, the Democrats realllyy don't have a candidate for 2020)

I mean not rly The Democratic party really doesn't have anyone lined up, and hasn't for awhile. That's why this election was so weird for the Democrats. Hillary was lined up for YEEAAARRSS, but just simply lost to Obama. It was always going to be Hillary, whether you asked that in 2008, 2012, or 2016.

"Republicans will get Kasich, Cruz, Rubio, and maybe Christie again, and probably Paul Ryan." I doubt John Kasich will run again, Ted Cruz is a lock, not sure about Rubio or Christie, and Paul Ryan will probably run. Keep an eye on Tom Cotton and Joni Ernst as the loony Tea Party wing in the election, and don't count out Rand Paul too "Democrats will get Joaquin Castro and..uhhh.... (Guys, the Democrats realllyy don't have a candidate for 2020)" Assuming HRC wins this general election, she'll probably run unopposed like Obama in 2012. If not, Joaquin or Julian Castro will run, and others like Cory Booker, Martin O'Malley, Tim Kaine, Kirsten Gillibrand, Amy Klobuchar, and maybe a Sanders successor will run like Keith Ellison or Tulsi Gabbard

Hillary isn't picking Warren. She has nothing to gain from her. They both represent voters from the same demographic, they're both women, and Warren's state is probably already voting blue
